IWEC South-East Asia Meet — New Delhi

The IWEC Foundation, in collaboration with FICCI-FLO—one of its founding chambers—hosted an inspiring South-East Asia Meet on November 6–7 in New Delhi, India. Centered around the theme “Women Empowering Women,” the conference celebrated the power of collaboration, leadership, and shared growth among women entrepreneurs.

Reflections from Harjinder Kaur

Harjinder Kaur, Co-Vice Chair of the IWEC Foundation and Chair of the Meet, shared her reflections on the event:

  • The event opened with a warm welcome dinner celebrating IWEC and setting an energizing tone. Past IWEC awardees and prominent Indian businesswomen attended, many expressing interest in joining the IWEC Network.
  • The following day featured a dynamic panel discussion on MSMEs and their vital role in connecting women entrepreneurs globally. Dr. Rajneesh, Additional Secretary to the Development Commissioner from India’s Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, contributed valuable insights.
  • A major highlight was the leadership talk by IWEC Chairwoman Ibukun Awosika, whose inspiring journey deeply resonated with participants.
  • The presence of the Bahrain delegation added an important international dimension. They shared details about the upcoming IWEC Annual Awards in Bahrain, and Ms. Sonya Janahi warmly invited Indian delegates to attend.
  • The day concluded with an elegant evening networking cocktail reception, fostering meaningful new connections.

This focused one-and-a-half-day gathering brought together women entrepreneurs, business leaders, and policy influencers to exchange ideas, strengthen networks, and explore new avenues for collaboration across South-East Asia and beyond, including IWEC awardees from around the world.
