These organizations in Bahrain have each nominated one awardee for the 2019 IWEC Awards.  We are very pleased to have them join us at the 12th Annual IWEC Foundation Conference being held in New Delhi, India November 10th-13th.  These ladies will receive their awards from IWEC Chairwoman and Former US Ambassador, Ruth A. Davis and IWEC Conference Chairwoman, Princess Noor Asem of Jordan at the Awards Ceremony on Tuesday November 12th.

Dr. Lamya is the first female in the Gulf to complete her Masters Degree is Laser Dentistry.  She founded the Lasweer Specialist Dental Center as well as Medline Medical Equipment.  She also owns Dr. Lamyas LLC property management company in the USA. She also has a healthy resort and interests in other integrated medical centers.  In addition, she has invested in startup companies in the US focused on medical supplies and architectural products. Dr. Lamya’s centers have been recognized and have won numerous awards.  She wishes to continue growing all of her companies and to continue to invest in relevant startups.

Ahlam has been active in the Bahrain business sector for three decades as the managing director and owner of My Bakery, Bahrain Horizon.  She is also a president and the founding member of the Bahrain Business Women’s Society.  She started her bakery in 2009 and most recently also set up The Event Makers, in partnership with international event French designers, which is an event management company.  She has won several international and national awards in her 35 years of business and has helped to bring many progressive changes to the Bahrain society, focusing on empowering women in business.

The company is doing business in Bahrain and would like to expand to the United States, India and Saudi Arabia.

Khulood Al Qattan, Director, Prime Advisory W.L.L.,

Khulood began her career in banking and after 25 years, joined her brother in Prime Advisory which is a company working in investments & real estate.  With her accounting degree, she expanded and opened other businesses as well including Al Qattan Accounting Services.  She also started Business Point which is a business center and it has become very successful in Bahrain.  Khulood is a true entrepreneur and is heavily engaged with the Bahrain Business Women’s Society and on the board of several other companies. khuloodalqattan@gmail.com
