IWEC Past Awardee Sandi Webster Receives WPO Mary Lehman MacLachlan Award in Los Angeles
The Women Presidents Organization held their annual conference May 1-3rd in Los Angeles with over 950 women business owners in attendance.
Dr. Marsha Firestone, president of the Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO), presented the award to Sandi.
The award recognizes women who exemplify the outstanding qualities of Mary Lehman MacLachlan and have demonstrated leadership, ownership and economic independence in their professional career.
Mary Lehman MacLachlan was the original benefactor of the WPO who shared the vision, passion and drive to support women in business. Mary was an esteemed WPO advisory board member and a true leader in the women’s business community where she was a strong supporter of women entrepreneurs. She believed that women must be economically independent and support themselves. As Mary best stated herself, “I really care about women in positions of leadership and ownership. Now is the time for women to claim their rightful place as capitalists in the greatest capitalist county in the world. And, in this effort, women need to support other women because if they do not, no one else will.”
“What a pleasant surprise! I won the most prestigious Mary Lehman MacLachlan Economic Empowerment Award at the Women’s President Organization conference in Los Angeles. This award honors women who exemplify qualities of economic independence, run financially-sound businesses, provide positive financial benefits for staff, and support other business women in the community. Thank you, Elizabeth Beskin for nominating me. I am truly grateful and humbled. #WPODisrupts #WPO18,” stated Sandi.
Having built and sold a very successful company, C2G Partners with partner Peggy McHale, Sandi recently obtained her PhD from Temple University!
Congratulations Sandi! We look forward to seeing what you have up your sleeve in the future!
