Rocio studied in London and received her masters in architecture.  After several years working in the architectural field, she decided to join her family business and learned the business from the ground up.  She has managed the 40-year old business which manufacturers Biomedical Equipment, Hospital and Institutional Furniture. They offer personalized products, with modern and safe design, based on the needs of their users. This allows them to guarantee well-being and comfort for all users. Metax Industria are experts in equipping health establishments under the turnkey modality. They are now upgrading to new automated and robotic machinery, ioT and digital transformation which will make them a “smart factory.”

The company does business in Peru and they want to expand to other neighboring South American countries such as Ecuador and Bolivia where the need for their products is great.

 

Isabel Azevedo, Chairwoman of the Board, Frigocon S.A./Portugal, www.fricon.pt

Fricon which was established by Isabel’s father in 1976.  She started working in the company at the age of 16 and the rest is history.  She gained experience in all facets of the business and now is the Chairwoman of the Board. The company’s refrigeration products have expanded over the 46 years they have been in business to include domestic refrigerators, beverage and ice cream freezers as well as retail food refrigeration. Supermarkets account for more than 85% of their business.  Now the company is making improvements in their factories and are moving to complete the computerization of the lines.

The company is doing business in 115 countries spread across 5 continents. For 2022 and beyond, Isabel plans on entering & strengthening their products in Australia, New Zealand, India, US, France, Mexico, Nigeria, Indonesia & North Africa.
