Italy represented by two 2019 Awardees this year

The country is well-represented by these two successful women business owners

This year, Italy is being represented by a nominee from Pina Foti, an IWEC past awardee as well as the Turin Chamber of Commerce, an IWEC affiliate partner.  Each has nominated one outstanding woman awardee for the 2019 IWEC Awards.  We are very pleased to have them join us at the 12th Annual IWEC Foundation Conference being held in New Delhi, India November 10th-13th.  Anna Maria and Brigitte will receive their awards from IWEC Chairwoman and Former US Ambassador, Ruth A. Davis and IWEC Conference Chairwoman, Princess Noor Asem of Jordan at the Awards Ceremony on Tuesday November 12th.

Anna Maria is the Owner of the ‘Carrozzeria Fiume Carservice Brescia’, a full-service automobile repair and maintenance company.  Since 2007, Anna Maria has also been the Managing Director of INRETECAR Network which brings together over 1000 car repair companies throughout the country to oversee and strengthen the industry.  Anna Maria is also on several boards of directors and is a manager of the project area supporting improvement of services at work aiming the inclusion of young people and adults in the labor market for Bottega Artigiani school. For 10 years she also was the president of the Female Entrepreneurship Committee of the Brescia Chamber of Commerce.

The company is currently doing business in Italy but would like to expand to eastern Europe as well.

Sargomma, founded in the 1980’s, is a manufacturing company supplying components which help to operate several different vehicles. Brigitte joined the family business in 1985, working her way up and now she owns the business.  Brigitte has grown the company through innovative thinking. She established joint ventures in Turkey and in the United States among other new initiatives she began. Brigitte also created with her daughter, an independent film production company based in London, GRAN TORINO PRODUCTIONS. She also supports Radio Immaginaria, the first and only teen web radio in Europe.  She also holds many seats on boards and is engaged with the start-up community as well.

The company exports its products all over the world and they wish to establish commercial relations with China and India.
