In its third year, our annual 30 Under 30 Asia list features 300 young innovators and disruptors across 10 categories who are re-inventing their industries and driving change across this diverse region. Representing 24 countries across Asia-Pacific – including Azerbaijan and North Korea for the first time – these finalists were selected from thousands of online nominations, researched by our team of reporters and vetted by a panel of expert A-list judges, to make sure they’re worthy of a spot on this prestigious list.
Here’s just one of the young female in entrepreneurs in Retail & E-Commerce:
Li Xiaoya is the COO of Shenzhen-based Huishoubao, a startup providing smartphone recycling services. The company first evaluates the worth of used models based on information provided online, and does re-evaluation after users mail their phones to designated shops. It also provides recycling services to companies including Huawei, Suning and Gome, with consumers sending their old phones to Huishoubao and using the proceeds to buy new models. According to its website, Huishoubao has attracted more than 4.5 million customers and recycled 5.1 million units since its founding in 2014. In 2017, the startup raised $45 million in its latest financing round from investors including China’s Haixia Capital and Source Code Capital.
And one young woman in Healthcare:
Priya Prakash founded HealthSetGo, an India-based healthcare organisation that provides schools with health programs, education, medical assessments and insurance services. Founder and CEO Priya Prakash battled with obesity as a child and has made it her life’s mission to change the status quo with regards to attitudes towards children’s health.Her organisation has trained more than 300 doctors and teachers to implement care and monitor development in the young. HealthSetGo currently operates across 70 cities and has impacted more than 80,000 students.
