New Jersey District Council Unveils List of New Members
January 2024. Newark, New Jersey. “The New Jersey District Export Council (NJDEC) is proud to present this year’s newest members,” announced Susan Widmer, Director, U. S. Commercial Service, Northern New Jersey. “Our members contribute in so many ways to the success of the state’s export community, and their efforts are much appreciated. Without them we would not be able to offer the wide array of services, resources, Connections, events, information, and programs that our clients deserve, and require, as they broaden their footprint in the international marketplace.”
The NJDEC recently nominated members are as follows:

- Kim Keating, Director of Customer Success, Zago

- Kelly O’Malley, Director of Sales & Marketing, Medical Indicators
- Janet Ryan, Owner, SpectraSpray
- Wendy Shen, President / CEO, NygalaCorp/FLOMO
These newest additions bring great depth to the organization, with members representing a wide range of business sectors as well as broadening the gender, generational and cultural diversity of the group.
Susan, who wears an additional hat as Executive Secretary of the NJDEC, is joined by a distinguished colleagues that includes Brian Beams, Tricia McLain, Janice Barlow and Lauren Platz as well as by a team of volunteers led by Dawn Cecco, Chair of the Executive Committee, and Michel Wouters, Treasurer, and over 30 NJDEC members.
Cecco summed it up best with her comments, noting, “We are thrilled to engage with such prestigious leaders – and we look forward to their input and perspectives as we move forward into a new year,”

The NJ DEC is a private, non-profit organization that brings together experienced international businesspeople who provide guidance and assistance in regarding international markets. It works closely with professionals of the U.S. Commercial Service and meets with federal, state, and local elected officials to educate and inform them on trade policy issues impacting the region’s business community.
