In a bid to bridge the gap in the various impediments that female entrepreneurs face when starting new businesses, the Coca-Cola Foundation (TCCF) has partnered the Women In Africa (WIA), through the JAMII Femmes initiative, a vehicle for economic empowerment aimed at reforming the entrepreneurial landscape in Africa to stimulate the empowerment and upscaling of 20,000 women across African countries.
The Coca-Cola Foundation (TCCF) in partnership with Women In Africa (WIA) has through JAMII Femmes, contributed to educating and training women on how to harness their entrepreneurial potential and overcome financial challenges in the labor market.
Despite the lack of a support system and numerous stereotypes, women in Africa can stand tall among some of the world’s most renowned female entrepreneurs, who have used their businesses to transform their societies and help other women grow. According to a 2022 World Economic Forum report, female-led businesses in Africa and beyond are more profitable than male-led businesses and are more likely to advance women’s empowerment and positively influence the continent.
