Kudos to CaixaBank for Their Diversity Talks Forums Around the Globe

CaixaBank has been holding important Diversity Talks around the world in their banking footprint.  In NYC on June 20th, they held their NYC Forum, Healthy Lifestyle in the Work Place with distinguished panelists, Ana Berenguer, VP Economic Research, NY Economic Development Corporation; Dr. Valentin Fuster, Physician-in-Chief, Mt. Sinai Hospital and Alice Greenwald, President & CEO National September 11th Memorial.  The panel discussion was moderated by Juan Manuel Benitez, Spectur/NY 1 News anchor.

Over 100 people attended to hear the thoughts and share their thoughts on today’s emphasis on healthcare in the work place.

The program was held at Instituto Cervantes with a reception in their lovely garden in Manhattan.

CaixaBank, the leading retail banking operator in Spain, hosted the first of its international “Diversity Talks” debates in Turkey in February. The programme was focused on discussing diversity and business management. The event specifically zeroed in on the position of women in the Turkish financial industry.

Diversity as a key aspect of international banking

CaixaBank has pioneered diversity in Europe, establishing a specialist team to coordinate cross-organisation projects that encompass multiple aspects: cultural diversity, gender diversity, functional diversity and generational diversity.

In international banking, diversity is not only an excellent approach to human resources management, but also a key aspect of the business model. CaixaBank’s international network specialises in providing consultancy to Spanish companies undertaking projects overseas, which means that specialist insight into international banking is just as important as understanding cultural diversity.
