67 Small Businesses, 67 Logos, 67 Minutes, 67 Lives Changed!
IWEC 2017 Awardee, Lesley Waterkeyn is supporting small businesses through Over the Rainbow.
“80% of small businesses fail within the first 3 years. We want to change that through the power of design and training. As part of a Mandela day initiative, South African company, Colourworks, is giving away 67 logo’s to 67 small businesses.
But is that enough? We are also calling on businesses for help. We are asking for a donation of R6700,00 ($535,00) to train each business – this is a 2-day business boot camp that will cover the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and building a business. The funds are allocated towards materials, trainers, admin costs and mentors.
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world,” said Nelson Mandela
The reality is that our youth unemployment rate is mind boggling and the only way out of this darkness is job creation by SMEs. However, these SMEs need support – both from government and the private sector.
This project is our way of banding together successful businesses and corporates – many of which were also started by entrepreneurs – and assisting in a sustainable way. For more information visit: http://colourworks.co.za/67logos/
Would you be willing to change a life by giving entrepreneurs the flying start they deserve?”
