Pia worked from 1969 in the historic family business of husband and she became President of Cittadini Spa after his passing . The company has been producing technical twines, braids and nets for industry, fashion, aquaculture, fishing and automotive sectors for the last 90 years. It has become the leader in all kinds of technical yarns for a range of industries and also has the capability of producing customized products. Focusing also on the environment and impact of its productions on sustainability issues, machinery, lighting, reduction of water usage and management of waste water have been top priorities. R&D is also a priority following their “green philosophy” and is leading to new product designs.
Cittadini Spa is doing business in a multitude of countries around the globe and exports 75% of its production. Pia is interested in further developing business in Canada, USA , UK, Germany, North Africa, New Zealand, Australia.
