Cape Chamber has been affiliated with IWEC since 2008 and United Success has as well.

Both organizations are strong partners in the IWEC network and for the women of South Africa.

The Cape Chamber of Commerce nominated one awardee in SA for the 2019 IWEC Awards as did United Sucess.  We are very pleased to have them join us at the 12th Annual IWEC Foundation Conference being held in New Delhi, India November 10th-13th.  Audrey & Pamela will receive their awards from IWEC Chairwoman and Former US Ambassador, Ruth A. Davis and IWEC Conference Chairwoman, Princess Noor Asem of Jordan at the Awards Ceremony on Tuesday November 12th.

Congratulations Audrey & Pamela!

Audrey McMillan, Managing Director, Sapro International, www.saprointernational.com

Growing up, Audrey just loved playing all sports and got a degree in BA (Human Movement studies).  It was always her intention to be a sports teacher or do something with sports. She travelled a lot and spent some time living and working in the UK and then came back to South Africa. In 1997 she started working for Sapro International, an exporter of high quality South African foods and wines and was thrown into the fray of exporting, knowing nothing about it. She never looked back. She is now the Managing Director and continues to expand the markets on a global basis for the company.

The company does business with South Africa, Australia, UK, Ireland, Malawi, Kenya & Singapore.  They would like to work with any country that has a large population of ex-pats from SA.  And with the Middle East.

Pamela Jane du Plessis, Managing Director, Invincible Valves (Pty) Ltd, www.invalve.co.za

Pam joined Invincible Valves in 2007 and became the owner and CEO of the 37-year-old firm in 2013.  The company produces low pressure, slurry valves which are predominantly for the mining, petro-chemical, water works and power generation sectors.  Since she took over, despite the challenges she faced as a woman in this predominantly male-dominated industry, the company has grown into a medium sized enterprise which services a number of industries globally.  The company operates within a corporate governance criterion which has allowed them to make more informed decisions and grow our business consistently with the inclusion of the entire Invincible Family.
