IWEC Foundation honored Belgium’s Ingrid Ceusters at the IWEC Annual Awards Conference held in November, 2016.
Ingrid began her career as a dental surgeon, but soon switched professions and started working in the real estate industry. In 1996, she became a member of the Management Board of Hugo Ceusters nv, the real estate agency of her late husband Hugo Ceusters. As a certified BIV real estate agent, she eventually took charge of the company as CEO in 2007 and led it to the top of the Belgian real estate industry. Ceusters brought about the merger with Shopping Center Management Services (SCMS) and turned Group Hugo Ceusters-SCMS into a real estate player boasting expertise in office, retail, logistics, and investment real estate.
GROUP HUGO CEUSTERS – SCMS (HCS) was founded in early 2013 – company number BE 0404.697.064 – to optimize the existing corporate structure. The companies Hugo Ceusters SA (HC) and Shopping Center Management Services SA (SCMS) merged in 2013 in order to ensure optimal cooperation and flow of information.
Today HUGO CEUSTERS consists of a dynamic and diverse team with a high level of education. About 80 people work for the group HCS and have generated a gross turnover of 18+ million euros.
HCS is (and will stay) a family, Flemish and independent company.
The organization exists out of two separate departments:
HUGO CEUSTERS, founded in 1943, specialized in real estate brokerage and investment advisory services, both nationally and internationally
SCMS CEUSTERS, founded in 1991, specializing in property and portfolio management, facility management, project management, shopping center management and due diligences.
